“Over the years I have appreciated Auditor Nicole Galloway’s work and the fact that she does what Eleanor Roosevelt said is critically important: she shows up,” said U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver II. “I think she is a fabulous auditor and the person who is going to be able to lead our state. My house here in Kansas City is going to be voting for Nicole Galloway and I encourage everybody in their households in the state of Missouri to do the same.”

“Congressman Cleaver is a passionate advocate for affordable housing, which is vitally needed in Missouri, and I’m honored to have his support in this campaign. As governor, I’ll work with him to ensure that affordable housing gets the focus required from Jefferson City,” said Auditor Nicole Galloway. “Together, we’re going to work over these last 70 days to ensure everyone who wants to vote can do so. We’re going to fight back against the Republican efforts to make it hard for voters to make their voices heard. And next year, we’re going to work together for an agenda the puts the needs of working families first.”

During the press conference, Auditor Galloway discussed how she looks forward to working with Congressman Cleaver to implement both her COVID-19 action plan and her Opportunity Agenda for Black Missourians — which would invest in Missouri’s Black communities, implement criminal justice reform, protect voting rights, ban discrimination, and ensure affordable, quality health care.
