Galloway Brings in $1.1 Million

Columbia, Mo. — Fueled by grassroots donors and a surge of support since winning the Democratic nomination, Nicole Galloway For Missouri today announced raising $1,123,891 between July 24 and August 29 . That’s more than double what Governor Parson’s campaign brought in over the same period.

Last quarter, Auditor Galloway also broke records by bringing in $1.1 million in three months — outraising Governor Mike Parson’ campaign by more than two to one. In a sign of growing momentum for the Galloway campaign, in the past month it raised nearly as much as in the previous three months.

The campaign’s fundraising strength has allowed it to become the first and only Missouri gubernatorial campaign to release a television ad in the general election.

“Auditor Galloway doesn’t just have the momentum in this race — she has the resources to win and finally put Jefferson City back on the side of working families,” said Chris Sloan, Nicole Galloway for Missouri Campaign Manager. “Powered by grassroots enthusiasm, our campaign has built the digital infrastructure and organizing strength to talk to working families across Missouri about Auditor Galloway’s commitment to expanding access to health care and leading an economic recovery that works for everyone.”

Key numbers from the campaign’s post-primary report include:

  • In a sign of the campaign’s digital strength, $714,437 from more than 12,000 donors was raised online

  • 56 percent of donors (6,912) were first-time contributors to the Galloway campaign

  • 95 percent of donors (11,692) made a grassroots contribution (under $250)

  • Nearly 90 percent of donors (10,689) are from Missouri — a clear sign of Auditor Galloway’s strong support across the Show Me State

  • The campaign also added more than 68,000 individuals to its email list

Along with being the first campaign to go on air, Nicole Galloway for Missouri has built a formidable digital organizing and online infrastructure that will play a critical role in reaching voters and raising resources in the final months until Election Day. During this time, Auditor Galloway has also laid out a new COVID-19 action plan and campaigned in communities across the state — from Cape Girardeau to Kirksville.
